Our Mind Produces Heaven or Hell

Our mind produces the experiences of ignorance, pain, enlightenment and happiness so it is the master of our inner character and our outer circumstance. All of us want to be happy and are filled with pure consciousness, but this pure consciousness is blocked in the mind by ignorance. The key to opening the door to knowledge and pure consciousness is held by the ‘doer I’ part of the mind. If we want to experience a particular good, the ‘doer I’ must become conscious of it and demonstrate it because it is the ego that gives us the path for our personal expression. It provides or blocks the avenue through which pure consciousness can work. The mind is like a garden because it can be cultivated or permitted to run wild, and the results are either useless weeds or an abundance of fruit. By weeding out negative thoughts and cultivating positive thoughts, our minds discover that we are the master-gardener of pure consciousness.

The thoughts built into our character have brought us where we are today either happy or unhappy. If we are sad, we can’t learn, grow, evolve and progress to a place where we are happy and content until we find a place in our minds that is in harmony with our surroundings. When out of harmony, we learn by suffering and by cultivating happiness. As individuals, we have the choice to direct our minds wherever we choose so we may fall to the level of our desires or rise to the heights of our good deeds.

Taking responsibility for ourselves in a deeper way, we understand that it is the duty of an evolved being to give reality to the best convictions. This expression of pure consciousness needs the same courage and self-sacrifice shown by Christ because to gain Christ consciousness takes honesty. We have to realize who we are in our own way. The ‘pure I’ feeling can be felt, but can’t be totally understood because it is the symbol of the higher part of our mind. It is a treasure buried within us in the pure essence of our being, a seed that becomes a tree in order to shade others.
As Christ consciousness is in us so also is Our Father’s heavenly kingdom. Since we are in a quest for happiness and the essence of our being, this consciousness is a pearl of great price. It is a sacrifice, until we start imitating Christ consciousness and forget the brutal pursuit of crude active pleasures and the pain they bring to us. When pleasure no longer becomes the chief purpose of our life and the joy of God’s kingdom is realized, the ego dominated slave is set free to follow the deepest nature of our being as our mind steps out of the chaos of life and steps towards Christ consciousness to enter God’s kingdom in pure consciousness and bliss.

Merry Christmas is a Mystical Christmas

May everyone have a Merry Christmas and be given a spiritual experience of Christian Mysticism , which introduces the mind to the soul radiating from the center of our being to connect, guide, and sooth our energy. Energy radiates from the soul similar to an electrical current giving light to a bulb. This energy is no longer rampant, but focused, connected with our core and the spiritual depths of our soul. This consciousness directed by Christ does not judge, just witnesses with the understanding that we are drawn to the power of the soul. A consciousness of bliss filling an empty, powerless place with wisdom and knowledge requires inner work recognizing where we are influenced by external circumstances and lose energy. Temptations are not ignored, but released by changing perceptions, self-image, concepts and one’s life. The resistance to change is witnessed with the recognition that our energy and power are lost in a diffused and unfocused state taking strength from every fiber of our body. Spiritual practice is a natural gift, a living grace that perfects our poise, manner, coolness and reserve in the muscular and nervous systems of our body. Spiritual development doesn’t invite physical health because it is done for spiritual reasons, but the mind and body do benefit, assisting our spirituality in turn. May we all share in this Christmas gift

Christian Mysticism empties the mind so the Spirit can Grow

We don’t have to go to the waters in an artesian well, the water come to us. We just have to remove the barriers blocking the water from rising.  God’s grace tries to fill the void in our lives. Emptying the mind removes the barriers and creates a void for God’s grace. I feel the interior life with spirit gives us liberation and a higher consciousness away from the thoughts and cravings for things. We live an interior life not attached to the external world except to serve expressing our Lord’s love. For me the holy is within and that is what motivates a moral religious life. It is awe before God in the indwelling Spirit. It is not that the spiritual is superior to the material, but that the material is spiritual so one sees God in mysterious way. One is content to watch the physical play of Our Lord as he acts it out in everyone and everything.

Many Christians express an external religious expression with fear as a kind of motivation. I think they are not emptying their minds, but filling it with thoughts to defend a book or an external God with majestic trivia. When they speak, their words have no power because they don’t have the grace or spiritual power to back them up. They seem to think they know all the meanings, but they don’t seem to know the spiritual value of love and compassion. They force their moral compulsion of the whole Bible on everyone without a discriminate mind that can distinguish between what is pertinent and what doesn’t relate.

Mark 7:6-8 (New International Version)

6He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
” ‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7They worship me in vain;

Christian Mysticism a Larger Concept of Life

Christian Mysticism explains how our actions and thoughts within and without resolve themselves in the simplicity of the whole experience, when we focus on our simple unity in God’s pure consciousness and have become acquainted with God’s unity. God is outside and within ourselves in His pure consciousness, which can be witnessed inside, when we know that reality is more than what is observed outside with the senses. Letting go of what is little, Christian Mysticism enters into a larger concept of life where there is nothing to fear because we realize that conflict is the result of seeing only in part, not the whole picture.

The Tao, Ch 27 and Christian Mysticism

Ch 27

Therefore the sage takes care of all men
And abandons no one.
He takes care of all things
And abandons nothing.

This is called “following the light.”

Matt 5:

14“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

The light seems to transform as it forgives and accepts all who are in the present. A good example is Jesus who brings light to the meek, to the lowly in heart, and to the broken as he heals and restores the needy to their true nature. It is to the arrogant, the religiously crusty aristocrats to whom Jesus lays demands harshly. He is harsh in his teaching to the arrogant because he knows that they have lost the ability for an authentic mystical experience with their paltry, pompous prayers, actions and mentality. He can bring them to the door of awareness, but I feel he knows they won’t be able to open it until they cultivate love and the still point that love creates. We can’t open the door because of our attachment to images, words, and ideas that support our beliefs. We seem to fear the emptiness that we think lies beyond the door, beyond the surface of things so we grasp these things and ideas, afraid of being immersed in a Reality that our mind can’t comprehend. The guiding light is shinning under, on top of and around the door, but we are to attached and afraid to open it. It has no lock. There is no doctrine, religion, teaching or technique that opens the door. I feel there is not even a door, we just need the to walk through it with love.

I feel Jesus knows that we need to know the natural self before we can walk through the portal and know the supernatural self. I think that is why he taught love so we could go beyond the motions of religion. I feel he knows people call themselves religious, but do not acknowledge God, pure love, or God’s pure consciousness, the Tao. In this case even some Christians are pagans as referred to in line 47 below.

Matt 5:

43“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Reform the Church with Mysticism

I feel the rebellion against modern Christianity is due to the consciousness and intelligence observing the truth and comparing it to teachings that dishonor God and man. I feel thoughtful, educated, and intelligent people have slipped away from Christianity because the fundamental church has represented God as a tyrant and man as evil. It is not moral degradation that leads the revolt against fundamental dogma, but moral outrage and intelligent shock at the crude ideas and authoritative teachings that are rammed down people’s throats. I feel they have forced Christian Mysticism behind a veil so people fail to notice reality, truth and the personal spiritual experience with Christ.  I am not against Christianity, but feel it needs to awaken the inner teachings, which need evidence and theory. The Christian mystics seem to be persecuted for seeking illumination of the inner light and listening for the inner voice of God. I feel the future of the Church depends on the greater mysteries being taught by God’s children of light along side the lesser mysteries as preparation. The hirelings who alienate people against Christian Mysticism need to be replaced, as they are the blind leading the blind.

Anger and Christian Mysticism

I don’t feel anger is a right or wrong issue, but a choice. I think we can learn from our anger and transform the non-loving energy of anger into a loving energy. It seems anger is an expression of some kind of distortion or pain. I think anger is a lesson we need to learn. We could start with the source of our anger because the answer might be the act of forgiveness that acts as a poultice, drawing the negative energy that acts like a poison out of our body. It might be in the spiritual act of offering it up to God, letting it go so that it no longer poisons our mind. I feel we can even change anger into a peaceful mindset through social service. Channeling that negative energy into helping another person, doing a household chore for the family or even exercise to get in shape can transmute anger back into a loving energy and spiritual peace. Anger can be a path to self-understanding and clarity or because it is a choice we can choose anger and fuel the rage.

Your Answer to Evil is Worse Than the Problem

Your Answer to Evil Is Worse Than the Problem

The living flame of love does not offend so why do you try to wound my soul
All life is sacred so a call to arms, a holy jihad must be viewed with suspicion
In the heart you would injure, Jesus delicately inspires my love
A peaceful place where love abides and shares with all

Passed from the soul beyond what can be expressed by mouth
I recognize your intentions behind the harsh and angry manner
Eliminating evil, a task within the self, eliminates any barrier to love
Choices examined move towards or away from it

Hellish thinking creates devils and discordant feelings
You have no prejudices, only hatreds based on evidence?
You want to save the world, forcibly bringing me to peace
I remain in tranquility, waiting for you to join

Evil, the lack of love can’t be healed with absence
Hating evil embraces wickedness, increasing it, not diminishing it
Love’s presence is innocent of judgment
Stop outlawing evil, preparing for battle, Christians reach for love

You can’t steal Christ, it is not the last name of Jesus
Judgments demonstrate your mental work not my spirituality
Analyze and see God inside and see Him everywhere
Love and forgiveness is a lifestyle, not a religion

Surrender thinking substituting fear with forgiveness
Releasing currents of anger and destruction
Align the personality with the soul and contact reverence
A gift of the soul making use of our escape from evil bondage

See God Everywhere

Beginning with the knowledge of our oneness with a God that is everywhere in pure consciousness, we open up and build on the concept that God is supreme and the source of all there is. This successful attitude shelters us from the flood of separate experiences in life that drag us down and drown us with a tightfisted attitude. Just like Noah followed directions in the midst of his troubles to build the ark, we can build a balanced state of mind and see the showers of tribulations as a shower of blessings to get stronger. The separation that we encounter on earth is just a time to balance, adjust, heal and redirect the mind to God’s pure consciousness. When we meet life’s challenges constructively, we build an ark of spiritual consciousness that is strong and able to resist negativity because it is situated on a balanced state of mind. This ark of consciousness also rests on the highest peak after the flood because it is consciously aware of the presence of God. We know God is all-powerful and good because He leads us back from the torrent of pessimism that separates and pulls us down to dissolution to a belief in the One Almighty Consciousness that gives courage, strength, comfort and prosperity. Unity is a remedy for the mind, for mental ills and a solution for our difficulties. Making our minds a channel for God’s one pure consciousness pours friendship, health, love and fortune back into this world. This successful attitude in the unity of pure consciousness enables us to function at a much higher level eliminating fear from the body and impurities from the mind, which can cause disease and impede spiritual development. Ecumenism

Ecumenism is the promotion of unity and cooperation between distinct religious groups and denominations in Christianity and in the larger sense the unity among all religions worldwide. Jesus modeled this by associating with all people and castes. He shows us unity by showing us the silent witness inside that sees the Divine and Beloved in everyone’s eyes. He was not interested in converting people to his way of thinking or selling real estate in heaven, but to guide people who were ready to go deeper into themselves and the spiritual experience of unity. The spiritual experience can’t be taught, but Jesus offered a way to the experience, where God’s pure consciousness could be felt. Jesus showed a path to the ocean of God’s pure consciousness, a journey of transformation to be in harmony. His consciousness takes us beyond the world to an ocean more real than the world of senses. Yes, the Kingdom of heaven where the world of opposites, good and bad does not grow. Jesus cuts through the nonsense that people use to offend, condemn and separate people to comfort the offender and the people offended. He showed us how to watch our own minds and not to judge other minds. The pairs of opposites, good and evil hold us to the shore while Jesus shows us the ocean of pure consciousness, which is the way to the other side beyond the pair of opposites. Jesus told us parables, because one cannot tell people or describe what it is like in heaven beyond the mind in the ocean of pure consciousness. Christ consciousness leads us to it, but it is up to us to dive in to see for ourselves. Jesus does not tell us what to do. He takes us to the edge of possibilities and we choose to dive in or not. He does not seek us out, but assist us when we are ready.

There are many advantages to having a sanctuary within where one can retreat at any time to an ocean of pure consciousness where one is introduced again and again to the joy and peace of pure love. It is in a state of love where one attains a higher awareness and a spiritual experience in the here and now. The higher states of mind exist along side the lower dimensions, but the higher levels are more loving, creative, and inclusive. The Divine wisdom not to judge those that judge and not to exclude those that exclude others comes from the higher layers of the mind. This spirituality is first experienced within then that person sees the divinity within every other person. This witnessing of Divinity is pure love in the here and now. “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
